An early start

Today I got up awfully early. I started off the morning at 7.30 with the usual complimentary breakfast (two boiled eggs and toast margarine and jam) and headed off to visit the Sony Ericsson office, which is quite nicely located with a small nature reserve(ish) on one side, and the Singapore polo club on the other. And.. after that, salvation by Starbucks! An extra tall coffee finally got me back on track and awake.

The Sony Ericsson office. Share the smiles :-)
After that I felt brave enough to try some Thai food. Bad idea. Just now in retrospect I realize I managed to pick the spiciest on the menu. I could barely eat it!! I had to order rice on the side just to get by.
Later, I took the MRT out to the Singapore university campus for a tour and some info on the Insead MBA program. Finally I topped the day off with a visit to the most fake island I have ever been to. Sentosa, an island made up to be like a giant resort, quite interesting, but I just wanted to get out of there as soon as I realized how much of a tourist trap it really was. They had a “wave bar” though, which in my eyes earned the island just a little more respect.

The wave bar. They were surfing with something that looked like skateboards, wierd!!
