The sky bars in Singapore

DSC_2818 DSC_2827
There’s some pretty good sky bars in Singapore to be visited. The one at Marina Bay Sands was our first stop. I personally prefer this one. Monica was amazed :-)
We took the opportunity to visit the casino as well at the ground floor of the hotel. It didn’t really tickle my fancy, but it is supposedly one of the largest in the world.

The day after we went to the one altitude bar, located at the top of the raffles scraper in the centre of the financial district. About one hour queing in the street was required to get in the elevator and up to the second queue, in the evacuation stairs which were used for entrance to the club. The sight of the 60 something shaky metal stairs going downwards in a triangular pattern was a bit creepy :-).

Once inside the view was spectacular.

DSC_2877Preeeetty high up in the air. 62 floors if I don’t remember it wrong. There was just a rudimentary handrail hindering us from getting on the wrong side of the edge, so it got a bit creepy when you looked down like this.

DSC_2869In the distance you can see the marina bay sands scrapers and the gigantic surfboard on top where the bar is located. This is where we went the day before.

Though saturday night, the disco in the middle had a dance floor that was ever so empty. Everyone was hanging out in the bar looking at the view, which is kind of understandable :-)
